Need Help Volunteering In Your Area? Start Here.

It’s almost been a year since the first Bring the Stoke blog (linked below) and what a year it has been. I don’t need to remind you. Most of us are trying to forget what happened, but as bad as it was, there are always positives. Bring the Stoke made it’s first two donation to charities YES Boston and our local Boys & Girls Club. It felt good knowing that donation was all from your support. Thank you so much. We had international orders shipped out to the UK & Australia. We are also raising the bar this year. We have a goal here. (I can’t tell ya just yet)

We still want to be that community brand that helps the youth get active and benefits the world with positivity, kindness & giving back, but with the world opening back up. We want to help you to find a place to volunteer at. It’s not that hard. In fact, it’s super easy, once you realize all your excuses are crap.

“I don’t have the time.”

“My skillset won’t help anyone.”

“I don’t know anybody there.”

“I like my weekends to myself.”

“I’m too busy.”

Given, some of those reasons may be true for you, but if you really, and I mean REALLY, want it, you’ll find a way to get it. Whatever it may be.

Need some volunteering ideas?

Do you like taking care of animals? Spend your time with seniors? Teach the youth a new skill? Advocating for a topic you are passionate about? Helping people with disabilities? These are just a few of the many things you could do. You could even get more specific and work with military men and women or work specifically with underprivileged youth.

It could be easy as getting a trash bag and head to your local park and pick up trash!

Need a place to start?

Thankfully, like everything else, there is a website for a situation like this.

Very easy to use, all you do is type in your zip code & it will recommend you towards places to volunteer in your community.

We will even send you a free Bring the Stoke sticker if you prove to us that you are volunteering your time at a place that betters your area.

Thank you for reading, and remember, be kind.
